World's End

from $49.00

This was one of the more wild and dynamic weather systems I've experienced while out photographing. It was the morning between our two Cypress swamp photo workshop groups. I was out for a sunrise paddle, under mostly clear skies. After putzing around for an hour or so, I noticed a set of three tightly packed shelf clouds off to the west. I went back to making images of the Spanish Mosses that I was focused on. I looked back over my shoulder, and the front of clouds was already almost upon me. I started paddling rapidly to get into a position that I could photograph this cloud formation behind some of these Bald Cypress trees. It was a rushed composition, but I managed to get set up just as this cold front arrived. The dark clouds raced overhead, the fastest I've ever seen. The temperatures dropped about 15 degrees instantly, and along with the racing storm clouds came a swirling kettle of about 100 vultures. It was a wild scene. And, just as quickly, it was over.

Metal Prints-

Dye-Infused metal prints are the benchmark for luxurious fine-art prints. Metal prints have a magical luminescence and vibrancy. Many people think that the prints are back-lit because of their beautiful glow.

Using high heat and pressure, special inks are infused into coated aluminum plates. Because the image is infused into and not onto the special coating, the prints have an archival value and durability that is unparalleled. These prints have a coating that is UV protected, water resistant, and scratch resistant. They are the ultimate in longevity and a clean, bold look with colors that "pop".

The default option of metal print is a high-gloss finish that adds to the "pop" that metal prints are known for. Prints can alternatively me made with a non-glare/matte finish, or a satin finish if preferred. There is no additional charge for this finish, just be sure to let me know if you would prefer an alternate finish.

Metal prints also include free drop-shipping. If you are looking for a particular size of metal print that you don't see as an option here, feel free to send me a message. Metal prints can be made in just about any size.

Metal prints are limited edition, with a maximum edition size of 100 prints across all sizes.

Metal Print Mounts and Frames-

  • Frameless Floating Mount - For a clean and modern look, this mount floats the metal print off of the wall 3/4”. It is economical, and comes ready to hang

  • Black Metal Shadow Frame - The Shadow Frame has an extraordinary look that compliments metal prints perfectly. It adds a finished look, without overpowering the image. The frame is made from a very elegant brushed anodized aluminum, It is also available in silver, or gold. This frame adds about 2” to the overall dimensions of the artwork. For example, a 24x36” print becomes 26x38”. All frames come with a pre-installed wire for hanging right out of the box.

  • Black Metal Bevel Frame - The brushed black anodized finish makes the Bevel Frame a perfect choice for displaying high-end metal prints. The Bevel is my favorite metal frame. It is impressive, rich looking and substantial enough to easily hold the largest print we offer. This frame sets the metal print off with a 1/2'“ floating channel. All frames come with a pre-installed wire for hanging right out of the box. This frame is 2 1/8” deep, and adds 4” onto the artworks overall size. For example, a 24x36” print becomes 28x40”.

  • Cascadia Wood Frame- The Cascadia Wood Frame is an elegant choice that perfectly blends modern sensibilities with traditional elegance. . Our unique inner channel floats your print within the frame. The Cascadia is an ideal way to add a rich, warm touch to your print. An attached wire allows for hanging right out of the box. This frame adds significant presence to your artwork, and fills large spaces. This moulding will add 7 1/2” onto the total dimensions of your artwork. For example, a 30x45” metal print with the Cascadia Frame becomes 37 1/2” x 52 1/2”.
